Not too long ago my oven decided to give up the ghost. I wasn’t planning to buy a new oven and we made things work with what I had available. I used my slow cooker and microwave more often. It worked and I didn’t feel forced to make a purchase that was not in our budget. This is so important when you are making changes in your financial picture.
My hubby, however, did miss out on homemade cornbread. I missed fresh homemade cornbread too. There are those times when you make sacrifices in order to stay within your budget. You know how that goes.
INSTANT POT SAVES THE DAY
Well, I looked at the Instant Pot several months ago but I just wasn’t sure it made sense to make that purchase. As I continued researching I found out that the Instant Pot can do everything from pot roast to cornbread to cheese cake. With all of that, I decided to make the purchase.
I was NOT disappointed!
I have been encouraged and inspired to get back into meal planning and batch cooking. These are great money saving practices.
